Wheelchairs and skateboards
With cash donations and a very generous deal from a second hand shop in Cape Town, we were able to purchase 7 wheelchairs and 2 skateboards and transport them up here to Xai-Xai. We managed to clean, fix and restore them.
We noted that there were a few people in town walking on their knees and also from our dealings at our local state orphanage saw their need for wheelchairs and/or some other means of getting around. Needless to say they were greatly appreciated!
HOW TO HELP:
If your child has outgrown his/her skateboard or you have access to second hand wheelchairs, please bring them with you when you come on holiday.
